Old Historic Quaker town of Waterford, VA- Walk through the downtown streets and admire the beauty of the old stone architecture, the commons greenery and The Corner Store downtown where you can relax, grab a drink and peruse. (The Corner Store is owned by a dear friend and is a must see!) There is even a hike to an 400+ year old grandmother oak tree on the commons! (See this map of the walking trails behind waterford that start at the old Waterford historic mill)!
George’s Mill Farm- George’s Mill is a goat farm also run by friends and has the cutest little Vermont style farm store open 24/7. They make delicious goat cheese and the BEST goat milk gelato at their farm store. They also sell other local foods and goods.

Breweries/Wineries
There are honestly too many to name all around us. Wheatland Springs Brewery is the closest brewery to where we are getting married, and is a very family friendly brewery with lots of outdoor seating and a playground. Willow Oaks Craft Cider is the oldest organic orchard in the region and is a beautiful spot - Michael has worked there and family friends own and operate it.
